You are calmly walking through a forest. While you’re not sure how you got here, you don’t fee unsafe or frightened. A sense of balance and meaning flows through you as your feet crunch the leaves below. Taking your time,. you stroll through the forest for what seems like hours, listening to the birds and other animals that scurry around you. Suddenly, the ground begins to shake, the sounds of animals turn into screeching and you struggle to hang on. As abruptly as it started, it ends almost instantly.
You see her, not too far away, but until now, hidden in the mist. Anna Kaslow, the soothsayer who has followed you thusly. She holds a deck of long, beaten up cards and smoothly begins laying them in front of you, seemingly suspending them in midair. You can’t quite make out the cards, but as she lays out the fourth one, it begins to glow eerily. Wake up, she tells you. You have no idea what she’s talking about. Wake up! Her voice grows louder. WAKE UP! The cry booms and you wake up clutching a single crumpled tarot card in your hands.
The fourth card in your reading is Temperance • XIV. Will you accept this boon, resting your mind in the balance of the universe? Or will you take on the burden of an imbalanced world, seeking re-alignment for yourself and your companions. Keep your eyes and ears open for more of your reading over the next few days!
